3M™ VHB™ C20F is a clear high performance VHB™ Tape. Its cohesive and adhesive properties make it suitable for highly demanding applications where a coloured bond line is undesirable.
This tape shows higher peel (on high energy surfaces), tensile and shear performance than many other VHB tapes due to the increased cohesive strength. The tape thickness of 2,0 mm and the cohesive properties allow the tape to withstand higher tension forces resulting from tolerances between bonded parts.
This product is suitable for the bonding of transparent materials like glass and transparent plastics. Depending on the material and on the environmental influences the pre-treatment of the surfaces with a Primer (e.g. the 3M™ VHB™ Silane Primer for glass) is recommended.

Each 3M™ VHB™ C20F application will be reviewed on a project specific basis. Application guidelines will be based upon adhesion test results generated by 3M Technical Service. These project specific application guidelines will be provided to the customer and must be followed during the glass bonding process. Listed below are some typical application guidelines for a 3M™ VHB™ C20F project. However, these do not replace the project specific application guidelines provided by the 3M Technical Service Representative.
20 minutes after pressure application, 90 % after 24 hours and 100 % after 72 hours. The use of a primer may accelerate the bond strength build rate. Contact 3M for more information.
